One small step each day

A week of French you can actually use

A pleasure, a scene, a memory, an opinion: each activity gives you something concrete to say. You do not need to write perfectly or finish everything to benefit.

Day 1

Un petit plaisir

Write 3–5 sentences about a small moment you enjoyed.

Day 2

Une petite scène du quotidien

Bring a daily scene to life with a few useful linking expressions.

Day 3

Écoute et écris : une pause imprévue

Listen to a short recording, try a dictation and check the transcript.

Day 4

Un souvenir en quelques phrases

Tell a small memory and practise the imparfait and passé composé.

Day 5

Un avis qui t’appartient

Express an opinion, give a reason and add a little nuance.

Day 6

De tes mots à ta voix

Use a few keywords to tell one of your stories aloud, if you wish.

Day 7

Regarde le chemin parcouru

Return to a text, improve a few sentences and choose your next step.

Choose how you practise

In your notebook, or together in The French Corner

Everything you need is in the emails. You can follow the whole challenge privately, at your own pace.

If you would like feedback, use the community links in your emails to share your text or voice recording in the dedicated seven-day space. I will help you find more natural ways to express what you mean.

A little support, without pressure

You choose what to share. Texts, recordings and feedback posted in The French Corner can be seen by other members.

Speaking is optional. You can simply try saying your sentences aloud to yourself.

Find words that feel like yours

I created Write Your French for learners who understand French but hesitate when it is their turn to write or speak. Through small scenes and personal ideas, I help you turn familiar French into sentences you can use.

Before you join

What level is the challenge for?

It is for intermediate learners who can understand clear French and write a few sentences, even with hesitation or mistakes. Instructions include support in English.

Do I need to join the community?

No. All seven activities arrive by email. The French Corner is optional if you would like to share your work and receive feedback.

What if I miss a day?

Keep the emails and return when it suits you. There is no need to catch up before trying the next activity.

Is it free?

Yes. On Day 7, I introduce the paid Write Your French programme for anyone who wants to continue. There is no obligation to subscribe.

What about the Starter Kit?

The first email also includes the Starter Kit as an optional extra. You do not need it to follow the challenge.

Start with a small pleasure — and a few French sentences.

Your first activity is ready. Join whenever you like.
